1.   Penerapan komputer di Bidang Bisnis

Kegunaan komputer pada aplikasi bisnis adalah untuk menyediakan informasi dengan cepat dan tepat. Salah satu aplikasi bidang bisnis adalah MIS (Management Information System) atau SIM (Sistem Informasi Manajemen).

SIM merupakan suatu sistem informasi yang banyak diterapkan pada perusahaan-perusahaan untuk menyediakan informasi yang diperlukan oleh semua tingkat manajemen. Salah satu bagian dari SIM adalah AIS (Accounting Information System) yaitu sistem akuntansi yang meyediakan informasi baik manajemen maupun pihak luar yang menggunakan komputer untuk mengolah data akuntansinya.

Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi dimanfaatkan untuk perdagangan secara elektronik atau dikenal sebagai E-Commerce. E-Commerce adalah perdagangan menggunakan jaringan komunikasi internet.
